Abstract: 

The ReSOLVE iX Slot Cutter is an instrumented, non-explosive mechanical puncher which efficiently machines axial slots in downhole tubulars. The tool provides real-time operational feedback and is capable of punching through thicker and higher strength tubing materials compared to other mechanical punchers. A large number of punches can be completed in a single run for applications requiring maximum flow area. The tool can be combined with other services for logging or pulling plugs in the same run.
