Shell, winners of this year’s ICoTA Europe Innovation Award, will present their technology, ‘The Local Expander Tool’ at this free webinar.

To reduce environmental foot print and complexity, Shell’s ambition is to decommission wells in a rigless manner. The Local Expander's unique capability is to reliably repair a single annulus with only a wire line unit.

The Local Expander has several advantages over existing annulus repair methods, such as perforate-cement squeeze, cut & pull casing, and section / pilot milling. Further future upsides for the tool usage are water shutoff and crossflow repair, base plugs for annulus preventing cement slumping and Dual-annuli repair.
